About Me

Hello, I'm Joyce Hoang from Dallas, TX. I have always found a lot of joy serving others either by being a good active listener to a friend, baking decorative cookies for families, or as a nurse giving direct bedside care for my little newborn babies. Transitioning into UX design, I have found that it has become a great opportunity for me to merge my skills in empathy, problem solving and creativity into a field where I can make a comparable impact on people's lives.

As I continue on my UX journey, I am eager to be in the health and wellness realm of design. I would like to work alongside healthcare professionals, researchers, and developers to create designs that will enhance the patient's experiences. I'm interested in how I can take my prior experiences with patients/families to better understand and study on how I can improve my users lives in an impactful way through design.

Looking ahead, my goal is to contribute designs that are more inclusive, user-centered, purpose driven and empathetic. Whether I am improving patient health portals or enhancing food and wellness platforms, I strive to keep my mission to serve my community and help people through thoughtful design. I am excited to continue refining my skills, and learning from my UX mentors and colleagues to be pushed to become the UX designer I strive to be.
